In the heart of the Staffordshire Moorlands, there once stood Brittain's Paper Mill, crafting fine paper for the world-renowned Staffordshire pottery industry. Now, on the same site over a century later, we bring you Paper Mill Gin.
Since 2018 Paper Mill Distillery has been providing services to the craft spirits industry. It started as its own brand, but quickly received enquiries from breweries and new start-ups wanting their own range of spirits.
We set out to become a 'one stop shop' for anyone wanting to launch their brand.
Standing out in a busy market is hard. Being able to focus on branding, marketing and sales, leaving production to us, gives our clients the time they need to push their products.
To meet the demands of our clients, 2022 saw us increase our capacity with a new a high speed filling line for spirits. This also enabled us to offer bottling and packing services for spirits that are produced externally.
So if you are a craft distillery currently bottling by hand, or a producer looking to fulfil larger orders, we have the tools to take the load.

Staffordshire Brewery
It all started in 2002 in the heart of the Staffordshire Moorlands. Our beer production grew, so we moved to a 1,000 sq ft unit in Cheddleton, enabling a 6 barrel plant to be set up, allowing us to sell more beers at local farmers' markets.
Contract Brewing & Bottling
In 2010 six new recipes were formulated and over 12 months, the plant expanded to 20 barrels. A high speed bottling line was installed for the company's own use, but which also offers contract bottling to other specialist breweries.
Brewery Expansion
2017 was a busy year for us as we installed a new 35 bbl brewery, a new bottle filler, which filled 3,000 bottles an hour and lots of associated equipment. This gave us an extremely efficient system of bottling beers and allowed us to pass on some cost savings to our customers.
Paper Mill Distillery
In 2018 we purchased a still and set about creating gin recipes for the Paper Mill brand. Our flagship London Dry was followed by a range of gins inspired not only by our location, but also our love for the tradition of gin production methods and a passion for flavour.
Contract Distilling
Since 2019 Paper Mill Distillery has been developing & producing new spirits for external brands. It has been a privilege to work with our clients to realise their vision, with many of them winning awards for their products.
